Bennett has drawn on 50 years experience to develop a new, comprehensive trimming system for larger cruisers, military/patrol boats and sport fishing boats from 12m to 18m.
Designed to handle the most challenging on-water conditions, Bennett’s new BXT trim tab system features dual-action, solid stainless steel actuators to hold 4.7mm-thick (7-gauge) stainless steel tabs in position.
A pair of dual acting hydraulic power units, each producing 450kg of force, move precision machined, single or dual cylinder tab actuators through 75mm of stroke. Actuators don’t contain any dissimilar metals to cause electrolysis, have no external hoses and the trim tabs attach to the hull with exclusive interlocking hinges.
Bennett’s BXT system comes with water-resistant, electronic, rocker-style, trim tab controls (up to two – one primary helm, one secondary helm), which include highly accurate trim tab position indicators. Position sensors are internal – no wires or cables exposed to the harsh marine environment.
Bennett BXT plug-and-play trim tab systems are easy to fit to new boats or existing craft, with wire lengths customised to the boat’s specifications for hassle-free, efficient installation.
Auto Tab Retractor function is standard, returning trim tabs to the ‘up’ position whenever the boat’s ignition is turned off to reduce marine growth on exposed actuator shafts. Bennett’s award winning ATC (Auto Tab Control) is fully compatible with the BXT system.
