Lofrans 'Project X4/2000'

Part of the PROJECT line, the X3 is designed to solve anchoring problems for boats from 17 to 25 metres long. This high quality product has established a new reference standard for the winch windlass sector.

The design of this new line of vertical anchor windlasses aimed at further improving our strong points - product dependability and performance - which come from a know-how we have gained by manufacturing thousands of anchor windlasses in over thirty-five years in business.

For the Project 1000, 1500 and 2000 versions, we focused on true innovation by integrating two solenoids, a sensor and a magnet for the chain counter in the electric motor of the anchor windlass. This internationally-patented solution allows for easy and quick installation of anchor windlasses and relevant controls.

Series Project X is made up by four models: X1 - X2 - X3 and X4, which are available in low profile or with drum version.

These are main features, common to all models:

  • hand polished and chromed bronze finish
  • choice between two motors of different power
  • base, drum, gipsy and other parts are hot forged, so better performances from the mechanical and aesthetic point of view
  • base with stainless steel bearing
  • gearboxes of our production made with specific marine corrosion resistant materials
  • electric motors with high torque, specially designed for windlasses.

The difference compared with PROJECT Series 1000 - 1500 and 2000 is determined by electric motor only, which is traditional. It offers the opportunity of choice between two motors of different power.

Project 1000, 1500, 2000

  • Electrical connection is now extremely easy: inside the motor, duly protected, there are two solenoids, the magnet and the sensor, to learn how many meters of chain have been lowered;
  • Operation with two different remote chain counters: one with the cable and the other one radio controlled (without cable), plus all the usual controls;
  • High torque electric motor (plus than 1500 Watt for short periods of operation), with differentiated speeds for lowering, clamp for emergency control, allowing electrical operation of the windlass in case of sole-noid failure.
